# Hydrangea… I have an indoor hydrangea that I cannot seem to get…

Hydrangea…  
I have an indoor hydrangea that I cannot seem to get growing. I am watering it like the app tells me. Anyone have some advice?

As far as I know you need to get that baby into a bigger pot or even better into the ground. Loads of sunlight and water, water, water. They’re thirsty plants.

Unfortunately your plant has probably been forced into flowering so it looks nice and you’ll buy it but they are primarily an outdoor plant in my opinion.

Oh ok. It said on the tag it was indoors. I didn’t even know they had an indoor hydrangea. I had bought it originally to plant outdoors.

If I was you I’d go ahead and plant outdoors in a sheltered spot that’s got plenty of light (mine are planted next to a fence that only gets a little sun in the morning but it’s still quite bright).  
You’ll probably have to have some patience with it the first couple of years too.  
They’re beautiful plants but can take time to establish themselves.

If you want, take a look at mine in my front garden. They were planted around September last year and I’ve only got a couple of blooms on one of them so far. (I’ve got 3 different varieties using the same Planta log)

Whenever you repot it check the roots to make sure there’s no rot - just to be on the safe side.

Also every plant has it’s preferred moisture level so regardless of what the app may automatically schedule for you, always check the soil before watering.
