Hi- I’ve just bought this Monstera Swiss cheese plant home. It looks a little sad but it has been travelling for a few days.

I’ve watered it, I’m just wondering if I should repot it now or leave it for a few weeks to settle. The pot it’s in doesn’t look big enough I can see roots.. help!

If you just got it from traveling it’s usually best to wait a few days-weeks before repotting so you don’t stress the plant out more with a repot

It’s the root situation that’s worrying me

Are they just poking out the bottom or do they seem like they’re rotting?

Both, I see green roots and some that look rotten too

Hmmm if you see some that look rotten it may be better to repot, you just might lose some leaves from shock. You’ll want to cut off any rotten roots with clean shears / scissors

I really didn’t want to disturb it but looking at it again I think it needs repotting ☹️

Thank you for you help, much appreciated!
