# Hi! Does anyone know the approximate timeline of a ZZ plant to mature…

Hi! Does anyone know the approximate timeline of a ZZ plant to mature from propagation? I got this little guy with two of its leaves propagating about 2/3 months ago, and while the plant overall looks like it’s growing, these areas look the same.  
Do they eventually grow upwards and form stems? I would appreciate any input here for my own curiosity, thank you!

They grow very slow

It does grow upwards and eventually, long time pass, it starts to get heavy and goes down

Zz plants in my experience go lengths of time with little to no growth. Then you will have a growth spurt where within a few weeks you have multiple new growths and they tend to be taller and fuller than the last, so long as the plant is healthy
