# Hello! I have a calathea Stella that I have placed in a window that…

Hello! I have a calathea Stella that I have placed in a window that gets indirect sunlight all day and then maybe an hour of direct sunlight. It had a lot of new leaves but they are starting to dry out and I can’t tell if I just need to water it more frequently or if it’s not humid enough (or something else entirely). Some of the leaves were yellowing which I though meant I was overwatering, so I’m just a little confused what’s going on. I’m also only watering with filtered water because I know these plants can be a bit finicky! Thanks!

I just got one of these myself. I think it’s the direct sunlight, could be causing the leaves to crisp up.
