Can we add the name of a plant per the store tag instead of what Planta calls it? I’m thinking it is more accurate. Thank you.

Yes you can but sometimes big box stores have them tagged wrong. If you believe it is what the store states go with it. I have been cleaning Walmart out on the Baltic blue pothos in which they name as a Golden pothos

Agreed. You can name it when you add a new plant to your collection as whatever the tag says so you have a way to document what it was called, if that’s helps.

Ty for your quick replies.  
If I understand correctly, I can add the “tag name” but Planta will still provide care info for the name it provided?

I'm wondering this same thing. Sorry to comment without a solution -- i want to bookmark this thread so for if someone posts a solution

If you are concerned about getting the correct care suggestions; you can add the plant without scanning it via Planta.  
If you search for the plant listed on the tag, you can add it from the plant profile that comes up.  
That way it’s added as the plant you believe it is.
