So, recently my plant almost got murder by my cat(s). The pieces here in this image had to get placed in a jar and grow roots from them while in watered nutrients. I’m so proud of them I will change the water out, but look how beautiful they are 😍

That looks like a tradescantia which is toxic to cats and can cause vomiting/oral irritation.

Thank you for telling me—this plant is in an enclosed part of my house far away from my kitties.

This is tradescantia! The roots looks great I grow mine in water with a little perlite! Just be careful because while most pothos are considered pet safe this is tradescantia and it is not!

Thank you! I’ve had these for a while and I keep they away from my cats in an enclosure.

Sorry a little confused? Your post is about your cat(s) destroying this plant but you keep it away from them also?

lol I didn’t provide all the context in the post—I just wanted everyone to see how nice they are growing; however, I took them down from my bookshelf that in an enclosure and I sat them on the table to trim/groom them. I walked away to find my plant scissors and my plant was in the floor along with the pieces that are shown here above. So it took along of cleaning up and repotting along with placing the clippings that broke into this jar so they can grow roots.
