When you guys add plants that are in self watering pots what do you set the soil type too?

From what I've seen the soil type is a different option, so you put whatever soil you're using and then set the pot to self watering. I could be wrong, I'm new to this 😂

For mine, the soil type and pot material are accurate to what the plant is in and I say there’s no drainage. That gets it pretty close to what it should be, but be sure to use a moisture meter the first couple times you add water to the reservoir and snooze if necessary.
