I would love to add plants in my bedroom. But I’m not sure what plants would do well because of the varying temperature throughout the year. The summer being the main issue because it gets so warm during the day and I will run my window AC unit at night.

What plants for this type of varying temperature would end up doing well?

I end up swapping out plants throughout the year. Right now I’ve got a pink princess, Rojo Congo, Ruby ficus, and a prayer plant. But I’ve switched out snakes, peace Lillie’s, various cacti and euphorbias … zz.

If it’s really hot and dry then I would make it a place for an African milk tree, dragon bone/ghost, etc. if it’s hot and humid that changes things a lot and would look for more tropical foliage. Rojo Congo is so lush and pretty.

But more than temp I would go based on light and humidity.

How about a zz plant or a snake plant (as long as they aren’t in the path of the a/c)? Both of mine do ok with indirect light, too. I have babies from momma snake in the bathroom and they are doing great.
