Has anyone ever used this self watering rope? If so, did it ever kill a plant, or have you had problems with it? Any advice regarding this rope will be much appreciated. TIA!

It should just be cotton. The only issue you'd run into is if the plant didn't like to be wet often

100% cotton! Should I just use it on my tropical plants, and not my philodendrons, or plants that like to be dry before they’re watered? Have you used this before, and did you like the results? Any tips would be appreciated… TIA!

I've only used wick in two plants so far. A PP philodendron and a rhaphidophora tetrasperma. They both seem to like it. The rhaphidophora especially i got it as a single leaf just before Christmas and it's got like 3-4 leaves now

Can you send me a couple of pics about how this looks, and works? TIA!

What kind of plant(s) were you thinking of using it with? I have a Homalomena set up this way and she LOVES it.

Who’s counting… Any, and, or all?

My fiddle fig is self watered via a smaller rope and is thriving! I vote give it a shot. Good luck!

TXS for the encouragement… I’ll definitely give this a try!

Can you tell me a bit about how this mechanically looks and works? Maybe a picture or two would be great… TIA!

I bought the planter already ready to go, but here are some pics

I have this same one!

So the pedestal in the middle keeps the plant from sitting in the water and just the string stays wet. Like I said - I bought it this way, so I’m not sure what the rope looks like under the plant…I hope this helps!

Yes, your pictures definitely helped! I learn through seeing most of the time, and your pictures were very useful. Can you tell me the manufacturers name of the self watering pots you used, and if you liked them, or not? (and any other useful tidbits… 🙃!) TIA! !

When you use the self watering pots, and there is string that dips into a water well, did you ever have to actually water your plant when using the self watering pot? TIA!

My rose painted calathea seems to really like it, it's in a self watering pot with the rope. I find that it's quite thirsty and the rope helps mitigate how often I water
