Hopefully I can get some help! I got gifted this plant but I’m not that great at taking care of plants but I do want to learn to take care of it I just don’t want it to die…..the first photo was when it was gifted (April 4) and the recent photo is how it’s looking today :( I have tried everything, putting water inside or center of leaves, leaving it next to a window, I cut the flower and some leaves that already looked dead, but still the leaves are starting to look like this….and I haven’t seen pups…..

I would recommend separating the plants and potting individual. Each plant has different care/watering schedules.

I agree, separate the plants and see how that goes.

Thank you I’ll try that! By any chance do you know the individual names of each plant? The little paper only said bromeliad….

Thank you both!! I’ll try that :)

Yes, the plant you cut the bloom off of is called a bromeliad. The other one with the stripped colors is a croton pronounced ‘crow den.’ It likes bright indirect light and only water when the first inch of soil feels dry. As suggested by others I would eventually separate the plants into their own pots as well. Enjoy!

Thank you!!
