# Hi my friend got a huge monstera about 2 weeks ago, she hasn’t…

Hi my friend got a huge monstera about 2 weeks ago, she hasn’t repotted it yet. She watered it 2 days after she got it and then again today.  
The problem started about 2 days after she got it what is going on?!!

Ah man this is tough. Kinda looks like fertilizer burn? Maybe the store it’s from was over fertilizing or watered weirdly. Your friend may want to repot with a good draining mix soon and check the roots out. I think those leaves are toast but hopefully the new ones can be saved! Gl

Was it exposed to temperatures outside its preferred temperature range for a period? Typically 55°F is the lowest temperature most tropical plants can comfortably live in. Freezing temperatures can quickly kill them. Some tropical plants can’t survive the trip home if the car is too cold. 🥶 It only takes minutes for the plant to get damaged while you wait for the car engine to warm up. 🪴🍀

I was going to say the leaf on the right sort of looked like cold damage but I couldn’t be sure.
