# Hi, Plant Lovers! I need info on GROW LIGHTS. I have a plant rack…

_Publié par Lynda le 2024-06-28_

Hi, Plant Lovers! I need info on GROW LIGHTS. I have a plant rack that sits in a dark corner and needs some suitable increased lighting. I am looking possibly for an LED light that could be attached to the ceiling, such as a spotlight that would shine down on the plant rack. Does anyone know of such an animal?
My poor plants need “light TLC” and their owner would appreciate something cosmetically palatable to her. Comments would be seriously appreciated! 😊💚🪴

Question on REPOTTING. I have a new pot for my Baltic Blue Pothos and wonder if I can repot while he is still wet. Do I need to wait until he is totally dry and ready for watering in order to repot? I’m concerned that he might be overwatered if I repot and water in between his watering cycle. Does that make any sense? 🤪 (He takes forever to dry out between waterings and I’m impatient to make him look beautiful in his new pot!) TXS for any replies.

Add lots of perlite to drain and dry the soil faster.

You can repot at any time. Only water when the soil dries out.

So, if I repot when the soil is wet, do I just add extra pearlite to the repotting soil and then not water until it dries out? I thought I had to water with every repot??? TIA or any info!

It will be difficult to find a single light that reaches all the lower plants. I recommend looking into individual lights that can be clipped or tied near the plants.

Any recommendations, something that you really like or something you have used in the past, when looking for these kind of lights? Again, thanks for any info. Regards. 😊💚🪴

I have the Sansi clip lights (look on Amazon) and they work great I think. They also have timers with auto on/off so you don’t have to fuss with them all the time 😁

You’re definitely going to need a multi light solution for your setup. For pendant style that you can hang from the ceiling, id recommend STERREN pendant lights. They are pretty strong so you can hang them a good distance from your plants. Only draw back is that the timer is built into the cord with 4, 8, 12hr selections. I own two - one with timer and one without. The no timer version isn’t available on Amazon currently.

Thanks for your post! I looked online and it definitely is a good option, one I’m seriously considering. But I do have one more question; will it give growth enhancing light to all of my plants on the plant rack? I’m looking at the picture Amazon has and it looks like it’s normally used for just one plant, although I did see one picture of it hanging over several plants. Regards.😊💚🪴

It will definitely give enough light for the top row, specifically the FLF on the right which is a light hungry plant. I still think you’d need a secondary light for the bottom row.

I put a Albo cutting there to see if they can grow decently in ambient humidity. It just put out a second new leaf. Ignore the struggling peace Lilly in the back. I don’t know what that thing wants lol
