Can someone please help me with these plants? 😭
I’ve had them since March, no growth at all.

My Alocasia Black Velvet is so sad. I took her out of her pot last week and found a plug. I ended up cutting it off but it keeps looking worse. The one leaf is thriving. Do I just cut the other one off or hope for the best?

Next is my string of turtles. She will NOT grow no matter what I try. She also looks sad. I don’t know how to get her to grow 🥲

Have they ever been repotted? It looks like both could use it. I recently repotted my Alocasia Elephant Ear Polly into LECA and it is the happiest it’s ever been. Good luck!

they haven’t, i’m scared to touch the string of turtles, it’s SO fragile. i might just need to change potting mix

They are not gonna be happy in that nursery pot, specially since it’s been so long. Repotting is anxiety inducing, cause we don’t want to risk upsetting them. But chances are you will lose them if you just leave them in those pots.

my best suggestion for the string, use a more shallow pot than deep, they tend to have shallow roots so too deep of a pot could hold onto too much moisture..

that’s what i was thinking. they came that way and kinda just confused me why it was so deep

yeah it confuses me how long most plants survive in the nursery pots.
