# I have a bathroom with no windows and extremely limited (natural)…

I have a bathroom with no windows and extremely limited (natural) light. It’s humid, generally warm, but gets very little light. I’d love to get some greenery in there, but have no idea what might survive! Any ideas? Thanks!

You will need a grow light running 12 hours a day. Then, you can put tropical plants in there. Plants need lights. Some will survive while growing lanky and possibly drop leaves like pothos. 🪴🍀

You might try a deep shade species like a fern, but you're probably going to need a grow light

I have pothos in my bathroom that are doing pretty well and like the humidity. The light that comes into my bathroom is minimal through a frosted window. The leaves on some of mine have gotten smaller with less light

I have 12 plants in my windowless attic bathroom. I have 2 grow lights and the fan is broken so it gets humid when the shower is on. Most plants are doing really well in here. Now that’s it’s cold I barely water.

PERMANENT BATHROOM RESIDENTS:

African Violet  
Arrowhead  
Asparagus Fern  
Cryptanthus Bivittatus  
White Wizard philodendron  
Regular tradescantia inch plant  
Croton  
Lemon lime prayer plant  
Paddle plant kalanchoe

RECOVERY UNIT PLANTS  
(cat attack, rehomed from people)

\- Parlor palm  
\- Modes in the cradle tradescantia  
\- Stromanthe Triostar

My vote is usually for a ZZ plant. I’ve had one at my office that doesn’t have natural light and much less humidity and it does well!
