# Spanish lavender. Got her as a birthday gift a week ago. One side of…

_Geplaatst door Lila op 2025-12-06_

Spanish lavender. Got her as a birthday gift a week ago. One side of the plant is grey, normal I figured given it is almost winter. But the needles are also dry and brittle. Should I trim this part off? And how far should I trim it back? Should I wait until spring or summer to do so?

Right now she sits by a window and I bring her outside for more direct sunlight whenever it’s not raining. I want her to get as much sunlight as possible but should I not bring her outside until the weather is warmer? Currently 50 degree F/10 degree celsius. It is quite humid where we live.

It is fine to live outside. If it lives outside then it will go into hibernation and then chop it back until 2 inches are left
