Hello! I am new to succulents and this is so exciting!! I an also new to Planta and hoping someone can help me!😃

Question- I carefully repotted my succulents today. I followed your instructions very carefully !

1\. I used what you recommended- Bonsi Jack gritty mix. They will grow in that rocky stuff?

2\. When should I water after the repot?

3\. When should I fertilize? I never have. I got the succulents Miracle grow. Do I just mix that with the water? I haven’t fertilized at all yet.

4\. I am terrified of them going into repot shock! What should look out for and what do I do if they go into shock?

Thank you so much!!
Audrey😃

most succulents love a gritty soil. ideally at least 60-70% depending on the species. i usually water right after repotting unless the roots were significantly damaged and rotting, in which case i use a medium that’s already wet.
always dilute concentrated fertilizers, especially chemical ones, in water and pour over the soil with additional water to prevent root burn. there are exceptions, i have a special powdered fertilizer (joyful dirt) that can be applied directly to the soil and watered in.
your plants likely won’t go into shock unless you messed with the roots a bunch. plant vitamins can help with preventing and treating shock though, as well as certain microbes
