I got some new plants today and chopped apart a plant I am trying to save!  
Ficus  
Snake plant  
The one I’m trying to save - I chopped off some healthy-ish looking stems and will see if they can get healthy or not.  
OH and I got a fake ficus for $18! I would have loved a real one but I wasn’t sure what to get for the area - it’s sunny, by a window, and I have 3 big dogs I didn’t want to worry about them knocking over. So when I saw this on sale, I figured I’d give it a go!

Ooooh I love this mix of chaos and strategy! Real ficus, snake plant, a rescue mission, and a fake ficus for the dog zone? That’s plant parenting with foresight.

Honestly, chopping up the struggling plant was a bold move sometimes that’s exactly what it needs. If those stems have any fight left in them, they’ll root and bounce back. And the fake ficus? No shame at all. Sunny window + three big dogs = you made the smart call. Plus, $18 is a steal if it looks that good.

Thanks! I asked ChatGPT for help and it was helpful - at least as far as I can tell right now! It was very supportive too which maybe it knows if someone is asking about plants, they need moral support!
