# Som e wierd node growth is splitting the bottom leaf of my jewel…

Som e wierd node growth is splitting the bottom leaf of my jewel orchid. Does anyone know if this is normal? I can't tell if it's some just some wierd growth, roots coming in, or a plant bud forming

Jewel orchids don't really get pups but they do root along the ground. Even though that isn't laying on the ground I think it's trying to grow a new branch.
