# A few years ago I adopted this pothos from a friend. She hasn’t been…

_Publié par Lins le 2025-05-24_

A few years ago I adopted this pothos from a friend. She hasn’t been doing too amazing lately, however, she is working on it. Been making sure that she is watered, but not too watered. I’ve confirmed that there is no root rot. When I do water I’ve been watering from the bottom and adding SUPERthrive at the recommendation of the indoor plant person at my local nursery. My primary question is should I trim the two spots in the picture (propagate the growth at the bottom of the long stem) or should I leave as is (like can I expect more growth there?) I’d sure like to give her every opportunity to grow bushy and strong since that’s how she was when I adopted her. Second picture just to show where she is at as a whole. Thanks for the help!

definitely chop and prop, cutting the stem will promote new growth so you will see her thrive faster :)

The vine won’t grow side branches. Each vine is an individual plant. You can try getting it to sprout replacement leaves at the bare spots with Keiki paste.

It’s easier to chop and propagate in water. Cut 2 nodes per cutting. Put the bottom node in water. It takes about 1 week to 2 weeks to see new roots.
