# How long does it take for a string of pearls to grow roots in water?…

How long does it take for a string of pearls to grow roots in water? Mine rotted on part of the string, so I cut the healthy part off, and put it in water because so many people said they had success growing roots in water for this particular plant. It’s been in water for over a week now, maybe two. I’m not quite sure. Any other tips are appreciated too! 😊🪴

it will only root if your cutting has nodes — tiny brown bumps on the stem

Okay, I just looked and it does have a few nodes. There is one bigger one and about 2 teeny tiny ones. How long do you think before it will grow roots?

are they submerged? i would think they’d have at least started by now
