Can anyone please tell me what this plant is called? I bought it as an indoor plant from a plant shop a few months ago but was never told the type.

Fatsia japonica, AKA Japanese aralia!

### B-Angie-B 2024 comentó el 2024-09-09

This plant appears to be a \*\*Fatsia japonica\*\*, also known as the Japanese Aralia. It’s recognizable by its large, glossy, palmate leaves that have a tropical look. Fatsia japonica is a popular houseplant and also grows well outdoors in shaded areas.

Here are a few tips for taking care of Fatsia japonica:
\- \*\*Light\*\*: Prefers indirect or filtered light. It can tolerate lower light conditions, but make sure it's not exposed to direct sunlight for long periods as that can scorch the leaves.
\- \*\*Watering\*\*: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Water when the top 1 inch of soil feels dry.
\- \*\*Humidity\*\*: It prefers a more humid environment, so misting the plant occasionally can be beneficial.
\- \*\*Temperature\*\*: It thrives in moderate indoor temperatures and should be kept away from drafts or extreme temperature changes.

With the right care, it will continue to produce lush, vibrant foliage!
