# Hello, any recommendations welcomed! My son recieved this plant last…

Hello, any recommendations welcomed! My son recieved this plant last year on the last day of school. He left for the summer but kept the plant at our friends and they have kept up with the plant. My son got 3rd place and now wants to care for the plant and we have no idea how. He has a spider plant and that's all we know. Thank you in advance!

mine is doing well in a mix of fox farm potting soil, extra perlite, and a handful of fine orchid bark. an east facing window is a good spot for a spider plant. mine is to the immediate left of a south facing window and sometimes gets some crispy tips, but is doing well otherwise

I second eatyacarbs’s advice, and I’d also recommend waiting to water until it gets super droopy or the leaves start folding
