Hello, my Dracaena fragrans has been challenging from day one. I’ve had it for about two+ years. So I could start with repotting. But it’s never been stable. See photo where I’ve had to keep them roped together and staked, and I even kept tape at the base as well. They’re a cluster of 4. Things worth noting, the pot is 15.5” in diameter/19” tall hard plastic pot). I have it sitting 1’ away from a NW facing window and it’s also kitty corner to a north facing. I should add that I have not been great at watering it over the last couple years. I will sometimes go up to a month without watering, but I was consistent for the first year and it still had the stability issues. I plan on being better about watering.

-when I repot it, can I keep it in the same pot or should a cluster of 4 have a wider diameter pot? From what I’ve read, the diameter and height is sufficient, but perhaps that information is for one and not a cluster? Any special tips on your favorite soil to purchase? Should I move it from a NW to a NE facing window? Any other tips?

-my ponytail palm in the last photo has sadly been in front of a N facing window. This one was replanted about 6 months ago. I’ll take any tips for this guy. I could move this in front of a south facing window once a week for a half a day?

-i’m aware that the window directions are not ideal, but unfortunately, but this is where they have to be. I did put a sun lamp in the ceiling that’s about 4 feet away from the corn plant and the ponytail palm. I figured why not even if it’s too far away. The window positions in this room are NW,N\&NE.

I would repot that, if it's been two years. And spray the roots downwards with a peroxide solution. And remove that tape or anything constricting. Personally I'd size the pot up an inch or 2. But if you want to repot into the same, if the roots are healthy, clip them back 25% if they're bound up. Soil should be super well draining, avoid any with peat. Soil, perlite, pumice, orchid bark mix. Id add in a slow fertilizer, if you haven't been fertilizing either.

Great, thanks for the tips.
