# Good evening fellow Plantanauts, I'm a bit concerned about this black…

Good evening fellow Plantanauts, I'm a bit concerned about this black stop on the top of my Spiky Palm Tree named Marty. Marty's been struggling to grow leaves for a while, but I'm worried this black is an indicator that Marty's given up growing leaves, or is crashing entirely. Any feedback would be helpful, Marty's been growing for over a year and some change now with no issues, I'd really hate to see him go.

Id run Dr.Planta for the spot diagnosis, but as to the leaf drop, it looks like Martys in a shady spot now. I have one of these and it loves cooking in the full sun ( and Im in Phoenix where most plants croak). Its a cool plant, definately see if Dr Planta helps.
