My cat knocked down my small snake plant and all the roots came off and the bottom seems like it’s starting to slightly rot from water but what should I do to save it I’ve dipped the end in rooting hormone and placed in soil

If it were mine, I would cut off the rot and lay it on a window sill overnight then stick it in a cup of water until it has roots. Once the roots have roots, pot it up

Root powder helps the root regrowing process along.
