I got two of these plants recently and one of the plants leaves has turned yellow. The care is the same for both and the other seems to be fine except I’m noticing similar spots on the other leaves now.

these look very dry, alocasia doesn’t want to dry out. the crispy leaf tips are indicative of not enough water.

that being said, these spots - dark with the yellow ring - are saying fungal infection to me (which would come from overwatering in a lot of cases) i’m guessing they came with the fungal issue and you didn’t notice when you bought them.

you’ll need to GENTLY repot - these are fussy fine roots — and treat with an antifungal. things will probably get worse before they get better. a good mix for alocasia is 1:1 fine peat moss and perlite.

alocasia are not easy plants FWIW

It could be either sunburn from direct light. Especially if you treated them with neem when you got them. Or a fungal infection.
