Looks like caterpillar damage, so the most likely culprit is the canna leafroller

Do you know how I can get rid of them

Everything eats canna lilies. They look great for a month of blooms before the snails, grasshoppers, squirrels and probably locusts arrive!😁 I love the blooms. But, stopped growing them because they were attractive to too many insects.

You can pick off the caterpillars, snails and slugs if you can catch them. They work nights and hide in shade when the sun comes out. A saucer of stale beer attracts slugs and snails. You have to hunt the caterpillars early in the morning at sunrise. I use a long tweezer to pluck them off and move them to the weed plants at the back fence. Butterflies and moths help with pollination. So, I try not to kill them.🪴🍀
