I can’t seem to meet the needs of this artillery plant, I’ve tried temperature water light and nutrition. But it still thins like an old man’s head. What’s going on?

Pick something and stick to it. Plants need stability. Find a light level that works, water when the soil is dry, and follow the directions on your fertilizer bottle.

could it have anything to do with drainage? it looks it's in a jar of some sort and not a drainage pot. I could be wrong though

I do have a rock layer on the bottom!
