Tomatillo stem was snapped over but not dislodged in anyway. Immediately tied it to a bamboo rod to hold it back up, what are the chances it recovers?

This exact thing happened to me! I had my plant in a smaller pot (it hadn’t grown as much yet) when it was knocked over. So when I put it back up I leaned it against a bench outside but didn’t tie it for a while. It continued to live so I had hope! Eventually when I repotted into a very large pot I did tie it to a rod \& hoped for the best. After about a week it had 3 flowers! She looks a little rough where the snapping occurred but she’s thriving otherwise so far. Hope this helps a bit!
