# Planta indicates my established Brush Cherry needs to be watered only…

Planta indicates my established Brush Cherry needs to be watered only if there is a drought but I get frequent notifications to water it while not currently in a drought. Which is correct? Should I just keep skipping the water alerts until Planta fixes this inconsistency?

It seems to me droughts can be recognized programmatically the same as potential rainfall.
