# Hi new to plants and a friend gave us this one. App ID’d it as a Corn…

Hi new to plants and a friend gave us this one. App ID’d it as a Corn Plant? I repotted it and put new dirt. It seems to be doing better (new growth) and looks less sad. But I’m not sure what to do about the brown part of the leaves. It was given to us with the brown tips and spots and I was hoping it would get better. But they aren’t changing. Is there anything I should do?

Unfortunately, once browned, they stay that way! You can cut the bad areas off in a point mimicking the shape of the leaves and it will look a lot better!
