Looks like it.

Yea it looks a little root rot-y. If you gently brush the roots with your fingers and they pull off they are rotted. Get rid of all the translucent roots and then spray the remaining with hydrogen peroxide and hope it perks back up! 🤞

I rinsed more soil off and tugged on them and they were pretty solid, just very fine. I left them on and repotted her. We’ll see!

Most common causes for drooping is under or overwatering. I have a watermelon and several other peperomia. They are similar to succulents. Very easy to overwater, especially since their root system is so shallow. I prefer to use a shallow terracotta planters. The roots don’t go to the bottom of regular or deep planters, which creates wet soil in the bottom.

Thanks! Great suggestion about the shallow planter. If she makes it I will move her into one. I also am propagating some of her stems so hopefully I’ve have a nice and full watermelon peperomia one day!

Root rot usually has a rotting scent, so if you're not sure, use your nose
