# Help with this monstera adansonii. I got him with many leaves yellow…

Help with this monstera adansonii. I got him with many leaves yellow in the center and also around the edges. I can’t tell if the damage is still from when I got the plant a few weeks ago. Should I remove these leaves? There’s new growth.

That’s a beautiful Monstera Adansonii! Sometimes between bone dry and wet soil from ill timed waterings can result in yellow leaves. Best to just cut off the yellow leaves close to the base of the stem and let the plant put its energy into growing new leaves. Also, this plant prefers bright indirect light. Too many times I’ve made the mistake of leaving my Adansoni’s in direct light and the leaves get scorched pretty fast. The love humidity, as well, so misting it occasionally will increase the humidity levels. Hope this helps!
