Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do when your plant grows an arm? He’s been growing this arm for years.

The base cactus is typically a dragon fruit cactus. Yours is trying to climb to get more light, water or both. You can add a solid wood pole for it to climb. You can also cut and propagate each segment together in one pot or grow separately in small starter pots. Let the cut ends form a callous before planting in soil with rooting hormone.🪴🍀

It looks like the grafted top cactus has died; it can be cut off (which may encourage the main stem to grow more.)
