# Hi! I’m new here. I have never been good with keeping plants alive…

Hi! I’m new here. I have never been good with keeping plants alive but this year I bought all perennial plants for my gardens. These hostas I bought a few years ago, some this year. They look beautiful except some of the leaves are looking like they’re rotting. Please help!

That's pretty normal for hostas as late summer hits. You can reduce the issue by making sure the heat and moisture levels stay nice throughout the hottest days of the year. Also avoid using too much fertilizer as that can scorch the leaves
