# Hi all! My dieffenbachia has been struggling since I brought it home…

Hi all! My dieffenbachia has been struggling since I brought it home and about a month ago I realized it had root rot. I sprayed the roots with hydrogen peroxide, trimmed infected roots, and replanted in a new pot with well draining soil. Fast forward to today and it is still struggling so I checked the root system and while some new healthy roots have formed, some are still rotting. I just gave it a good wash, root trim, and sprayed with peroxide. It basically lost most of its root system at this point, so would it be appropriate to put it in a glass and try to get some new roots to prop before replanting?

I haven’t been overwatering it and check the soil with a chop stick to ensure I avoid that. Either way I’m at a last ditch effort but it has a few growth points so I don’t want to give up on it 😭
