I have had this string of nickels for a while and just recently have noticed it stop growing. The soil on top seems to stay damp for a really long time even though there is a reservoir for the pot that the water drains to. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

I don’t think sunlight is able to touch the top of the pot which i think might slow down growth/ keep the soil too moist. Are you able to lower it a little?

I have not heard of string of nickels! Looks very nice!!

Consider adding more aggregates to the soil like perlite.

Try letting the soil dry out longer before watering.

Switch from a self watering pot to a standard pot with drainage.

Move it from the corner to get better air circulation to help dry out the soil. 🪴🍀
