# Hello! I have a a pothos that needs a repot due to poorly draining…

_Gepostet von Mary 🪴 am 2025-04-11_

Hello! I have a a pothos that needs a repot due to poorly draining soil. But the problem is I can’t buy better soil for a while. Most of the individual plants in this pot are okay but this one with more white is very soft and wilted, although there is no discoloration which is weird. But I really want this plant to live so is there anything I can do with the wilty ones in the meantime?

Yikes, I'm sorry. I would propagate those in water to see if they revive. Remember to include the nodes. When you can , grab some perlite its super cheap and will help with drainage.

Okay, I will put it in some water. Since it already has roots do I just rinse it off and put it in water or do I cut it and let it grow new roots?

Maybe in a few days but currently no.

I would cut the super wilty ones and propagate in water.

Thank you!

That is what I do with mine when they get wilted. I have done it 4 times now and they have always revived ( knock on wood)

Here are two examples of how that water propagation worked!

I notice they do better in terra cotta pots. They get waterlogged easily.

Good luck! 🍀

No just rinse them off unless they're black and squishy then cut them off and start over but if healthy them keep the roots
