# Whats going on here with my snake plant? It’s only the one leaf that…

Whats going on here with my snake plant? It’s only the one leaf that looks like this. I wondered about root rot but why would it only be one leaf? Last watered 24 days ago, then again today. I noticed this happening within the last month. I’ve had him over 3 years.

Hmm, i do have cats. They aren’t usually in the room with the plants unsupervised but maybe one got sneaky. Should i cut this leaf off?

it looks like mechanical damage imo and then the leaf just started dying. I would just chop it off since the rest of the plant looks really healthy

Possibly spider mites/pests? When I zoomed in on the other healthy leaves I thought I could see some white flecks/mites. I would treat the rest of the plant with some neem oil spray/insecticidal treatment and chop the dead leaf off. Better to be preemptive than lose the whole plant! Those buggers spread fast (personal experience 🙋‍♀️)!
