# Hello! This is Joline, and I've had her for almost 7 months now.…

Hello! This is Joline, and I've had her for almost 7 months now. She's my very first house plant and I'm so very proud of her, however she has some Browning on the ends of her leaves. I'm still very new to this so I just wanted to make sure if it's something possibly serious or not. It's only on a few leaves and usually once it gets bad enough I just prune them as new leaves show up very quickly for her.

Looks like a water/humidity issue. They like having their soil lightly damp at all times, not wet though. They really prefer filtered or distilled water. Well draining soil but something that will hold a bit of moisture. I’d also recommend a humidifier if you don’t have one. They like a pretty high humidity

Thank you! I have a Brita from college so I can easily change that! And yeah, my room is a bit dry, so I can definitely try out the humidifier too, thank you again!!

I’ve heard that Britta is not good enough. The Zero Water filter is better.

I had mine in a self-watering pot and recently moved it to Pon. It’s very happy in the bathroom with grow lights.
