\*Update\* (see pics 2-4) I repotted her into a pot with drainage and the roots were so bad and stuck in the previous pot. After hours of getting the old soil out and in a new pot she was looking much better - but a few days later all of the leaves fell off (assuming from shock) BUT I have two new leaves coming in so I’m hoping she’ll be looking better soon🙏

Hi all! I have this fiddle leaf fig that is clearly not doing too good 😭 How do you think we can fix her? I tried a homemade fungicide a couple days ago and sprayed the leaves with it. Idk what’s wrong. I’m thinking of repotting her into a pot that has drainage holes in case that’s the issue too but I’m not sure if I should cut any leaves off or anything like that

It looks like overwatering/root rot to me. The black spots are edema in the leaves. If the pot it is in has no drainage holes absolutely move it to a pot that does have them. That pot might be a bit too big as well. You want the pot to be about 2-4 (I only ever do 2) inches bigger than the ROOT BALL. Pull that baby out of that pot and look at her roots. Also- don’t cut off leaves. This does not look like an infestation to me.

This is so so helpful thank you!!!! I definitely figured that the lack of drainage was a big problem so I’m definitely going to repot it into the new pot! Thank you 🙏

Having a pot with good drainage is an absolutely must. Non-negotiable. Agree with the above on pot size. They like to be snug- I repotted mine recently, and check out my plant-to-pot ratio. 🙏🏼
