# I have tried growing mini cypress trees but they are quickly getting…

I have tried growing mini cypress trees but they are quickly getting crunchy and dying. What am I doing wrong? The plants are next to a shaded window and watered twice a week which is when it seems to be dry. EDIT: just added extra dirt today but the soil under was watered today. Pipe cleaner is because its splaying out.
