# I added a little plant food to my fiddle leaf fig and now it’s doing…

I added a little plant food to my fiddle leaf fig and now it’s doing this 😩😩😩.. send help she had a har winter where all the leaves had fallen off and just as i was about to throw her out she started blooming she’s so resilient but now all the leaves is dropping idk why ..  
Help please.. can i revive her … not sure if she hated the fertilizer its Osmocote Smart-Release Plant Food …

make sure the fertilizer is correctly diluted, sometimes the plant picks up those nutrients from the fertilizer and sends it to where it will be better used (new growth) and it will kill off that leaf that is taking a lot of the plants energy

Thank you I’ll try to add more soil and see if that works

I’ve used osmocote timed release fertilizer for years with no problems. It looks like overwatering issues especially if you have fungus gnats. I recommend only watering when the soil is dry and not by a strict schedule.

Treat the fungus gnats infestation. The larvae eat the roots.

Okay i was wondering if i over water it but i water when the soil was dry …. I did spray the soil a week ago for gnats i also sprinkled cinnamon from a tiktok vid i saw that says it helps … ill let it dry out and see if the leaves revive
