# So a terrible thing has happened. The growlight fell from it's spot…

So a terrible thing has happened. The growlight fell from it's spot and nearly killed the newly rescued african violet, half of the leaves and flowers have been broken, it hurts to even remember. The plant survived and even kept some of the leaves and flowers, but only on one side. Poor girl looks like half of her has been chewed clean off. Just reaching out for some support from anyone who had that happen to em before:( also trying to propagate the broken leaves in water, hopefully it'll work.

I don't think African violets will propagate well in water. A very light propagating mix would probably be more successful.
