# Help!!! when I first got this plant I repotted it in a pot wayyyy too…

_Publicado por Mía 🪷 el 2024-06-08_

Help!!! when I first got this plant I repotted it in a pot wayyyy too big for it (me being uneducated it could cause root rot.) later realized it wasn’t pushing out any leaves at all, I took it out to check the roots and of course root rot, I removed all the rot, repotted it in a smaller pot and waited. I got impatient cause it was doing the same thing of not pushing out any leaves and low and behold maggots 😐 I have no idea how they got there in the first place but I mainly think it was the soil i was using. But now the corm has a hole in it 🙁 I disinfected everything and repotted it in a smaller pot so it could focus more on producing roots. Now, ever since I’ve repotted it it’s been doing well and pushing out more roots but I still remain worried something is going to backfire! Please any tips will be highly appreciated. 🙏🏼🙏🏼 NOTE: FULL PICTURE OF PLANT IS WHEN I FIRST GOT IT

use systemic granules in the soil and follow with watering to prevent bugs \& larvae from living down in there. Also wait until soil is dried out to do your waterings and make sure your pot has good drainage to prevent future rot. Hope this helps!!
