Help!! My alocasia tiny dancer is sporting some spots on her leaves. I'm not sure what l'm doing wrong. I don't let her dry out completely...l've read that you shouldn't so l bottom water her every 3-4 days and she seems to want it. Wondering if I'm overwatering her. She's under a grow light and room humidity is just under 60%. She's so unique and pretty...I don't want to lose her. 😢

No expert but looks like sunburn/light burn

Really? From under a grow light? It’s off to the side so it doesn’t get direct light.

Did you try diagnosing on the app?

I was going to say the same thing. I don’t have any of my alocasia under direct grow lights.

I do and it’s closer than yours is in the picture so I’m not sure if that’s the issue. From my experience, the leaves start to go pale when I have my grow lights too close to my plants.

Do you rotate this plant? If not, and all the damage is on the side where the light is, that’s a good indicator that the light is the issue. If you don’t rotate it and there’s damage on both sides of the plant, then there’s got to be another cause.

Certain bulbs have a great lumin count which is basically like shining direct sun light if you can’t dim the lights try to place the light where they are indirect from the light but I’m waiting to see what the pros are going to comment cause I might be wrong but from what I do far learned that’s my assumption

Real sunlight is BEST. That’s how nature intended it to be. I don’t like grow lights

I mean that should be common sense but not everyone has the proper lighting or windows to accommodate plants with “real natural sunlight” but good for you 👍🏼
