# Hi all! This is the only plant of mine that has this really weird…

Hi all! This is the only plant of mine that has this really weird silver mold, I’ve never seen it before. I’ve tried neem oil like I do on any other plants that develop that weird yellow mold and the yellow mold always goes away, but this silver mold will not go away! 🥲 Any thoughts on how to treat it, or should I just perhaps repot it with newer better soil?

definitely would recommend a repot if possible, make sure you thoroughly clean the roots of the plant before doing so to not transfer the mold. neem or other sprays are also available for mold prevention.

I looked up silver mold it says that silver mold on soil is usually a beneficial saprophytic fungus that breaks down organic matter but can also indicate overwatering, poor drainage, or lack of air circulation. Imo it looks like the soil is very dense. Maybe try some soil with perlite or chunky soil mix when you do repot. Good luck!
