I think that you do need to re-pot them because it looks like too different plants in one pot so they could start dying because one could take all the nutrients. Happy planting!

It might be easier to see what’s going on with your plant if you check the roots for signs of rot or distress. If you’re unsure of the look of the roots is healthy or not, feel free to attach a photo here and I’ll try to confirm for you when you repot it. My best guess without knowing your lighting or watering situation for this plant would be it’s either been overwatered (causing what looks to be a loss of leaves at the bottom), it needs more light (which could cause lost leaves and make it take longer for the soil to dry out), or that the soil isn’t well-draining enough for this type of plant. If the plant has never been repotted before, or was repotted into a Miracle Grow Brand soil, then I’d definitely check the roots and remove the old soil, then repot it into a fresh cactus and succulent mix. Anything that isn’t Miracle Grow brand will do, but I swear by Espoma’s Organic Cactus and Succulent Mix. It runs for about the same price or less than Miracle Grow, and is much better quality than Miracle Grow’s Cactus Mix. Hope this helps! 😊
