# Anyone know what this could be? Fungus/disease? My money tree is…

Anyone know what this could be? Fungus/disease? My money tree is cranking out new growth but it seems like every time I cut one of these sketchy looking leaves off another one turns this weird color/pattern. They do not fall off on their own I have been cutting them (probably around 10 at this point) bc if it is a disease I don’t want it to keep spreading. Not sure if that’s even how it works with plants. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of light is the plant receiving? I ask because it doesn’t look fungal (though not 100% sure) so much as it looks possibly like it could have something to do with the lighting. Paling/fading leaf colors are often a sign to me that it’s either too much light or too little light. If it’s too much, the leaves getting hit by the sun would be the affected ones. If it’s too little light, the ones in the dark would be more affected.

I would also want to rule our nutritional deficiencies, too. If you’re using a balanced fertilizer such as one with an NPK ratio of 1-1-1 or 3-1-2, it’s probably not a nutritional deficiency. But if you’re not using any fertilizer or if you’re using a DIY one, it might be that.
