# Hey yall! First time posting on here. I have two cobweb spiderworts…

_Posted by Marie on 2026-03-02_

Hey yall! First time posting on here. I have two cobweb spiderworts in my office. One is a prop from the other, and that one is still the same as last week.

Today I came in and out of nowhere, in my main pot both stems are completely horizontal. They’ve been growing vertically like weeds and have been so happy. Is this normal? Or do I need to do something?

I actually planned on transplanting it to a new pot today with the other propagation I have, brought all my gear. But I don’t want to transplant if they’re already unhappy (or maybe they need a transplant which is why they’re unhappy?!)

Any input is helpful, I’m very new to being a plant owner :) photos are from last week then today.

I don’t have this plant but maybe they just got so long and heavy there weighed down now

Tradescantia is generally a trailing species. Ive only seen uprights of them as small plants or in super high light where the leaf spacing is very close.
